Agora Fora aim to bridge the distance between research and practices surrounding European and African policy-making. They consist of a facilitated inter-sectoral dialogue between researchers and practitioners. Over the course of a two-hour long open debate under Chatham House rule, academic experts, public officials and civil society experts will discuss the environmental dimension of the polycrisis and related “polysolutions”. The Agora Forum in Dakar will also provide the occasion for a hybrid event, launching a policy brief on climate-induced migration.

This workshop aims to bring together the network to collaboratively share ideas on the PolyCIVIS’ final conference in Aix and our book on polycrisis. By fostering interdisciplinary discussions, the session will ensure that both initiatives reflect diverse perspectives and contribute to a shared understanding of polycrisis within a Euro-African framework. By the end of the workshop, we will have a good overview of participants’ opinions and agendas regarding the Aix conference and the final book. We aim at finalizing the draft for the call for papers and participations. A structured agenda for the book project will be developed, detailing key milestones, proposed editors, thematic focuses, and organizational aspects. Additionally, discussions will help refine the conceptual framework for both the book and the conference, ensuring coherence and intellectual depth in their development
